Region 8 members and guests,
It is my honor to announce that the 2024 Region 8 Championship registration is open, and will be held on October 25-26 at Kalahari Resorts in the Poconos! The Region 8 Championship is the largest event in our region, and it is a great opportunity to compete against students from one of our 56 studios or clubs. This year, in addition to our competition, we will have Grandmaster Strong as a special guest, and a Master’s Demonstration during opening ceremonies Saturday morning that you do not want to miss! Our theme this year is Tradition, and this year we are honoring all of the past Region 8 Champions, whose names will appear on our commemorative t-shirt. I encourage our Black Belts to train hard to become the next winner of our coveted Region 8 Championship Cup. In addition to a great weekend of competition, our championship is also about camaraderie, which is the main reason our founder, Grandmaster Jae C. Shin started our regional and world championships. With that in mind, I encourage anyone who is planning to compete, to invite a classmate to come and experience the great weekend we have planned.
